Andes Mint Chip

This was the first batch I made.  It is very simple, just the way I like it.

2 cups 2% milk
2 cups heavy cream
1 cup sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 teaspoon peppermint extract
a couple drops green food coloring
1 cup Andes mint baking chips


Mix everything together (except baking chips).  Make sure the sugar is dissolved.  Dump into the ice cream maker and blend for about a half hour.  About ten minutes in to the freezing, add chips.

Done and done!
